‘Star Jasmine’ stands out from the crowd with astonishing white flowers that fill the air with an intoxicatingly rich and sweet scent.
Such incredible plants, it’s no surprise they hold the RHS Award of Garden Merit, and are closely related to the ever-popular traditional summer Jasmine. These are slow growing evergreen climbers that can reach a huge 6m when grown in a greenhouse or conservatory, yet are far less vigorous when planted in the garden.
Excellent pure white, star-shaped flowers spread in waves, produced with anticlockwise-sweeping petals throughout summer. Occasionally you’ll be treated to extraordinary seed pods, like a pair of French beans joined together at the top.
As hardy evergreens, ‘Star Jasmine’ have lush, glossy dark green leaves during spring and summer which evolve to a rich purple for winter, providing year-round interest. Hardy down to -5°C, they grow best in a sheltered spot away from cold winds and thrive on a sunny wall or when sprawled across an arch, pergola, or along fences and walls.
Supplied as a set of three established plants in 9cm pots, ready to plant.
